This guide is intended to be used as a quick reference to the various shelters and resource centres across rural, remote and northern Manitoba. Manitoba has been divided into sections based on the provincial health authority boundaries.
There is a written description of each resource along with a key that indicates what that resource can offer and contact details. Lastly, each section has a table that explains all the services that each resource confirmed.
Developed by Brandon University’s Rural, Remote & Northern Gendered-Violence Research Team, the project was completed in partnership with the Manitoba Association of Women’s Shelters (MAWS) and Klinic Community Health, who will maintain and update the guide moving forward.
