The Longitudinal Immigration database (IMDB) is a product of a partnership between Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada and Statistics Canada. It was announced in December 2018, and new data modules and an interactive app were made available in April 2019. The IMDB integrates Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) data to other administrative files.
The IMDB interactive app includes dynamic charts that provide advanced visual and statistical trends for immigrants admitted since 1980. Measures include the number of persons with income or the amounts by type, province of residence, pre-admission experience, sex and detailed immigration category.
