With the federal election coming up on October 21st, 2019, there are many opportunities to engage with candidates on issues of importance to immigrants and refugees. The Institute of Urban Studies at the University of Winnipeg, in collaboration with Immigration Partnership Winnipeg and MANSO, has prepared a two page election brief, as well as a longer election backgrounder, with some key facts and figures about immigration in Manitoba. We hope these documents will be used to support facts-based dialogue on building welcoming communities in Manitoba.
