Facilitation Workshop with Jackie Hogue

Jackie Hogue will deliver a one-day facilitation workshop aimed at settlement staff who facilitate groups.
The goal of the workshop will be to enhance the skills of facilitators by providing tools and opportunities that will assist in developing engaging sessions and supporting participants. The day will focus on building clarity and group safety; active communication; creative engagement; and managing the challenging moments facilitators encounter. The session is designed for those actively facilitating groups and is open to those newer to facilitation as well as those with years of practice.
Jackie is committed to community building and at the same time passionate about solving hard problems. Jackie has been involved in community building and social change for over 20 years, 12 of which spent in non-profit management or leadership roles where she grew and shaped organizations. Today, much of Jackie’s work is focused on her passions: dismantling racism and colonization, leadership, and organizational change and planning.
Jackie hold an MA in Peace Studies and has years of conflict resolution training. This training has taught her to find opportunity among challenging situations. As a trained, skilled facilitator, Jackie enjoys catering to a variety of learning styles to ensure meetings, community consultations and trainings are engaging and successful.
The workshop is free-of-charge. Organizations may register up to two participants before registration deadline of January 31st, 2018. Additional participants may be waitlisted, and accommodated if space allows.
