Supporting Ourselves and Each Other in Dealing with the Stories We Hear

May 28 @ 9:00 am - 4:00 pm

Facilitated by Carl Heaman-Warne, Jennifer Heinrichs and Kari McCluskey of Aurora Family Therapy Centre.

Staff and agencies from across the settlement sector have been talking about the stress they are experiencing in their work.  While this stress has always been with us, the last few years have been especially challenging.  This workshop is designed to help staff explore both the challenging and meaningful parts of their work, and gives an opportunity to consult on what would be helpful in their own organizations to manage the vicarious trauma and vicarious resilience they see around them.

Intended Audience:

Settlement sector staff of IRCC funded programs, particularly those who are natural leaders within their staff groups or those who take on the challenge to support their colleagues in managing stress in the workplace.

There are 2 sessions, morning and afternoon – please, choose the session slot that works best for you. a) 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM or b) 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM.   MANSO members and friends may register up to four participants per organization (with any additional on a waitlist).

Please register by contacting i.nabisere@mansomanitoba.ca
